1. A Time for Learning!
• School in the Medieval Age - “Magister Dixit”
Discover the knowledge inherited from the ancients in this theatrical “story-symposium” (the difference between papyrus, parchment and paper, the wax tablet and its bronze stylus, the Latin alphabet and Roman numerals, etc.) and the medieval sciences (practical geometry, medieval measurements, astronomy, representation of the cosmos, etc.)
At 12 p.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. - lasts 45 minutes
2. A Time for Playing!
• The little tourneyers
After the young knight was knighted, or during tournaments, a quintain was drawn up. Perched on a wooden horse, try to knock down the dummy’s shield by hitting it with your spear in the metal centre.
3. A Time for Building!
• The builders
Do you want to discover the secrets of medieval architecture, and try building it yourself? Learn the builder’s skills and have fun with the round arch, pointed arch and cross arch construction games. Operate the squirrel cage crane, the lifting device used on construction sites.
4. A Time for Creating!
• Great collaborative mural
Feel like showing off your artistic talents and freeing your creativity?
Create a large collective mural representing the most prestigious aspects of the Medieval Age, based on a sketch by Delphine Decloedt. The Hohlandsbourg will vibrate to the rhythm of live performances and fun experiences, relayed on social networks. So dare to share, exchange and create! The colours, shapes and brushes are yours!
